**Job Title**:Quality Engineer - IATF16949 Specialist**
**Position Overview**:
The Quality Engineer - IATF16949 Specialist is responsible for ensuring that our manufacturing procedures, processes and products meet the stringent quality standards, with a specific focus on compliance with IATF 16949. This role is crucial for maintaining the high quality and reliability of our automotive products.
**Responsibilities**:
1. **Quality Management System (QMS)**:
- Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System in accordance with IATF 16949 standards and customer specific requirements.
- Ensure all quality procedures, documentation, and records comply with IATF 16949 requirements.
- Support external and conduct regular internal audits to ensure compliance with IATF 16949.
2. **Process Improvement**:
- Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using tools such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and root cause analysis.
3. **Supplier Quality Management**:
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure their processes and products meet quality standards.
- Conduct supplier audits and assessments to evaluate their compliance with IATF 16949.
4. **Product Quality Assurance**:
- Develop and maintain inspection procedures and criteria.
- Manage non-conforming products and coordinate with production to address quality issues.
5. **Training and Development**:
- Provide training and support to employees on quality standards, procedures, internal audits, and best practices.
- Foster a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement within the organization.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in Quality Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience (5+ years) as a Quality Engineer/Auditor, preferably at a tier 1 Automotive Supplier with a strong focus on IATF 16949 standards.
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), and/or IATF 16949 Auditor preferred.
- Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies (e.g., FMEA, SPC, PPAP, APQP).
- Familiarity with statistical analysis software and quality management software.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and production management software.
- **Proficiency in Spanish and English languages (written and verbal)**
