.Job ID: 22760- Location: Tlajomulco de Zuñiga, MXThe quality engineer in projects is responsible to ensure the quality during product development, production launch and engineering changes for series production.The quality engineer in projects is a key member of the core team and supports the Project Manager on Quality topics, ensures the projects fulfill the required quality and the identification of the special characteristics, in case of deviations has the responsibility to grant the adequate measures and escalate if necessary.Main responsabilitiesPlanning- Plans quality assurance measures on project level. (e.G. Quality Plan)- Participates and approves process tailoring within the project.- Responsible to develop and maintain the Qualification Plan, on request according to defined BU process.- Responsible to provide quality related costs for budgetary purposes (e.G. quotation phase, Q workpackage definition, qualification estimation).Tracking and Monitoring- Responsible to track and monitor quality status for assigned project, according to Quality Plan.- Responsible to initiate and monitor countermeasures when nonconformities are identified.- Responsible to check that suppliers and components are approved before PPAP.- Responsible to coordinate qualification activities and issue the qualification report, according to defined BU process.- Responsible to assure process compliance (e.G. Quality Gates, status meetings, APQP, PPAP, knowledge management), according to defined BU process.- Responsible to participate to all project relevant meetings (Kick-off, PACT, Gate Reviews, Lessons Learned, Core Team Meetings).Reviews- Participates to and moderates certain object and milestone reviews.Releases- Has the authority to stop the product delivery to customer, according to the defined internal procedure.- Responsible to approve project releases.- Responsible to approve PPAP/APQP documentation.Reporting & EscalationResponsible to report (in time & accurately) the quality status of (sub)project / work-packages to relevant stakeholders. Responsible to escalate critical issues according to the escalation strategy.- On request, reports location defined KPIs and status of defined measures in the location (for the corresponding BU).- On request, provides management with specific reporting for the Quality Organization (e.G. global reporting on quality status of all projects, building overviews on different aspects).Audits- Performs internal (sub) project audits / Quality Management System audits (co-auditor or lead-auditor).- Contributes to the preparation of (sub) project in case of internal / external audits- Attends as auditee for QMP role, in case of internal / external audits.- Performs internal process audits, in line with BU strategy- Responsible to provide consultancy / support for audits on local level. On request, responsible to perform coordination activities for these audits
