**Job Summary**
The Quality Engineer - Leather Cutting is responsible for ensuring that the leather cutting process in the manufacturing of automotive seat covers is conducted with maximum efficiency and quality standards. This role will collaborate closely with the production team to ensure that all cutting processes are properly documented and analyzed, and that quality standards are met at every step of the production process.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Conduct quality checks on leather cutting process to ensure adherence to specifications and quality standards
- Work with the production team to identify and troubleshoot issues in the leather cutting process
- Develop and implement quality control processes and procedures for the leather cutting process
- Analyze data and metrics to identify areas for improvement in the leather cutting process
- Collaborate with other departments such as Engineering and Design to ensure product quality meets customer expectations
- Conduct regular audits of the leather cutting process to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
- Lead or assist in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize the leather cutting process and reduce waste
- Train and mentor production team members on quality control procedures and best practices
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on quality control and process improvement
- Familiarity with quality management systems and standards such as ISO 9001 and IATF
