**About the role**
- Our Quality & HSE team, composed of 10 people, is integrated in the QHSE department and focuses on developing and implementing comprehensive quality, health, safety, and environmental policies in accordance with legal and corporate guidelines in collaboration with our Mexico and North America Sites.
- As a QHSE Manager, you will work on HSE objectives, HSE corporate programs and Quality Assurance Programs to support and improve our safety and quality culture. You will get the opportunity to contribute to implement and follow up HSE initiatives, participate in QHSE forums, congress and training and have a positive impact on our people and business.
**You will be accountable for**:
- Managing HSE & Quality disciplines in the plant, with all employees (Union and Non-Union), and improve HSE performance in the plant.
- Develop site-specific HSE objectives, programmes and tools, and ensure their implementation and monitoring.
- Propose HSE investments.
- Develop and implement site HSE risk assessment and risk management plans and site emergency plans.
- Develop, implement and monitor HSE education, awareness and participation programmes for employees and contractors.
- Responsible for the medical department.
- Sanitary Risks assessment and representative.
- Leader for management systems (ANIQ, Mexican Regulation, Corporative initiatives, quality programs).
- Sustainability and Biodiversity leader.
- We offer a 6 months fixed-term contract with possibility to be permanent based on a fixed shift onsite working model (with a possibility to travel to the US)
**About you**
- Relevant education degree in Chemical Engineering or similar
- Relevant work experience in chemical industries, mining, or process safety
Competencies:
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Statistical and control analysis (using MATLAB)
- Google Tools (eg. Google sheets)

**About the pay and benefits**
- Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. While the Mexico base pay reasonably expected for this role is $55,000 to $62,000 MXN monthly, your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
