Objective / Purpose of the Function:
Be accountable to the Quality Management System and ensure compliance with the latest versions of industry, customer, ISO's standards, statutory and regulatory applicable requirements.
Update and maintain the site's Quality Management System and the Management Review process, including coordinating and leading the meetings between all interested parties to resolve concerns, issues and reaching agreements. Continuously update, improve and develop internal QMS enhancing processes, protocols and procedures as necessary.
Acting customer liaison for all customer visits and audits to the site, including the review and assessment of customer satisfaction derived from these.
Develop and execute strategic plans to provide support needed to all functional departments and continuously improve knowledge, skills and learning.
Strategically develop the product, process, 6s, ESD audit plans to monitor the effectiveness of the Spellman Quality Management system. Lead the CAPA verification process.
Continuously oversee the Global/industry requirements and proactively communicate to the top management any deviation or risk identified.
Review, establish and assess department key process indicators and provide actions when these are not achieved.
Submission and execution of site level continual improvement projects (e.g., product, process, controls, procedures, software, systems, tools, trainings, social, psychological, environmental, etc.)
Principal Responsibilities:
Plan and execute internal and external audits, addressing findings promptly.
Identify inefficiencies and implement improvements to optimize quality processes.
Lead quality initiatives and cross-functional teams effectively.
Anticipate potential issues and develop solutions before they impact quality.
Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to support quality objectives.
Ensure staff are trained on QMS procedures and understand their role in maintaining quality.
Stay updated on industry trends and adapt the QMS accordingly.
Serve as the point of contact for quality-related inquiries and act as a liaison with external partners.
Data analysis of customer rejects and internal defects to refine scope and prioritization of audits groups.
Manage lessons learned getting inputs from internal and external audits.
Provide accurate and timely reports on quality performance metrics to senior management.
Lead the verification of corrective actions defined by the Quality engineering group.
Communicate critical situations and findings from internal/external audits.
Drive the root cause analysis process coming from NC & OFI's during internal and external audits.
Maintain Quality records according internal/customer/industry policies.
Lead the document control department and processes.
Make sure all equipment and tools used in the manufacture are calibrated. Lead and manage the calibration group.
Accountable of the preparation, communication & scheduling of the internal/externals audits.
Regularly review and update QMS documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead initiatives to enhance quality performance and operational efficiencies.
Develop and deliver training programs to ensure staff are knowledgeable about QMS processes, compliance, and quality standards.
Foster a culture of quality awareness and accountability throughout the organization.
Collect and analyze quality metrics and KPIs to report on quality performance.
Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on data analysis.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support quality objectives and project requirements.
Provide Quality technical support to the distribution center – Make sure compliance of Mx Spellman QMS.
Understand customer needs and expectations to align quality objectives accordingly.
Comply with the Health, Safety and Environment Policy, following the procedures and work instructions applicable to his/her activities for the participation in the established Objectives and Goals.
Competences / abilities:
Industrial, Electronic engineering or similar, 10 years of experience in Quality position.
5 years of experience in a leadership role.
Excellent organizational skills to handle multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.
Skills to effectively manage and resolve conflicts that may arise in the quality management process.
Knowledge and Interpretation of the IPC standards.
Certification on ISO 9001 as lead auditor.
Certification as lead auditor on ISO13485 is desired.
Certification as lead auditor on ISO19011 is desired.
Working experience on Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing or equivalent.
Working experience on problem solving process.
Experience on leading teams under a multicultural environment.
Knowledge of functions in electronic systems (MRP).
Interpretation of blueprints and bills of materials.
Metrology knowledge.
Knowledge of ESD guidelines.
Knowledge of the assembly process of electronic products using mixed technologies, SMT and T-Hole, manual soldering, mechanical assemblies, etc.
Good knowledge handling computer packages.
Knowledge of the metal mechanic's process.
Quality Core tools.
English proficiency technical and business.
Knowledge and understanding in Environmental & Quality Management Systems in their current versions (e.g. ISO 14001,9001).
