SUMMARY The QA Manager is responsible for overseeing all quality control processes throughout the production line, ensuring that manufactured electronic components and assemblies consistently meet established quality standards, industry regulations, and customer specifications by developing and implementing inspection procedures, analyzing data, identifying and resolving quality issues, and training staff on quality practices.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Quality Standard Development and Implementation: Define and document detailed quality standards for raw materials, in-process components, and finished products based on industry regulations and customer requirements.Establish and maintain quality control procedures, including sampling plans, inspection methods, and testing protocols.Implement quality management systems (QMS) like ISO 9001, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.Quality Control Activities: Conduct regular inspections at various stages of production to identify potential quality issues.Analyze data from quality inspections to identify trends, root causes of defects, and implement corrective actions.Perform statistical process control (SPC) to monitor process stability and identify deviations.Lead the disposition review board process to decide on the acceptability of non-conforming products.Quality Assurance and Improvement: Monitor supplier quality by conducting vendor audits and managing supplier relationships.Collaborate with engineering teams to identify and implement process improvements to prevent future quality issues.Initiate continuous improvement initiatives like Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma to optimize quality and efficiency.Reporting and Documentation: Generate comprehensive quality reports, including defect analysis, trend reports, and key performance indicators (KPIs).Maintain detailed documentation of quality records, inspection reports, and non-conformance reports.Team Management and Training: Lead and develop a team of quality inspectors and technicians.Provide training to production personnel on quality procedures, standards, and defect prevention techniques. REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in electronics engineering, quality management, or a related field.Proven experience in electronics manufacturing quality control.Expertise in quality management systems (ISO 9001) and relevant industry standards.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Statistical analysis skills (SPC).Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.Proficiency in data analysis tools and software.Experience with Electrical Testing processes for electronic products.
