.Descripción y detalle de las actividadesOverview position The Quality Manager provides effective leadership and direction to the Incoming/Outgoing Quality Control Lab; Process Engineering; Recipe Control, and Customer Service Representative teams and to ensure continued performance improvement within quality, customer satisfaction, and productivity in a safe and environmentally sound manner. Ensures continuing certification of the ISO 9001 Quality and safety through effective internal auditing and continuous improvement initiatives. Establishes strategic goals related to the business strategy for performance criteria, timelines, cost reduction efforts and developing a well-trained and committed workforce capable of meeting challenging performance targets. Responsibilities - To support KMC Rubber's vision, mission and operating procedures including, but not limited to: Safety, Quality, Productivity and Growth. - Contribute to the establishment and promotion of a safe work culture and environment by reinforcing safety and environmental awareness and personal responsibility at every opportunity; drive preventive and immediate corrective actions when problems exist or occur. - Provide and/or oversee general ISO related management training as required. - Lead the preparation of new or modified recipe processing and trial validation qualifications. - Lead prevention techniques versus inspection methods; set the tone for continuous improvement in products, processes, systems, equipment, training, and development of associates. - Lead effort to approve and evaluate raw materials and supplier capabilities to ensure adherence to formulation specifications. - Oversee the coordination and development of test methods; evaluate and recommend new testing techniques or equipment for incoming or outgoing materials; keep abreast of new equipment innovations. - Administer customer and supplier credits, returns, and off-specification material allocations. - Ensure all manuals, procedure, and record conformances to the ISO 9001 registration standards.Experiência y requisitosAt least 7 years Experience: Competencies/Specific Experience or Training Preferred: - Leadership; coaching; counseling; motivating. - Organization and prioritization skills. - Interpersonal communication/listening skills. - Analytical/problem solving skills. - Presentation and written communication skills. - Decision making skills. - Training and facilitation skills. - Statistical Analysis. - BS degree and/or five (5) years experience in the polymers industry. - Two (2) years of management experience. - Knowledge of Six Sigma. - ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification, preferred The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job: - The associate frequently is required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms
