OverviewThe Quality Supervisor is responsible for a portion of the department for a high-volume injection molding facility and the assembled products at the same facility.
This person supervises senior technicians and other employees in that department, ensuring that all parts and products that leave the facility meet the required standards of quality and that well-documented procedures for quality are followed.ResponsibilitiesProvide leadership to help create a performance-driven organization that fosters continuous improvement of all metrics and quality processes.Be a leader in reducing defects, scrap, and customer returns.Help develop and implement advanced quality principles.Oversee process capability studies, corrective actions, and material non-conformance systems.Monitor and report on key measurements associated with the operation.Set goals for workers and ensure compliance with the company's plans and vision.Work with customers to drive improvement in quality through a closed-loop corrective action program.Be enthusiastic, hardworking, results-oriented with a can-do attitude.QualificationsBachelor of Science degree in Engineering or other technical discipline.8+ years of professional experience in manufacturing.Supervisor experience as a Sr.
Engineer or Manager in a high-volume, fast-paced manufacturing organization.Knowledgeable in world-class manufacturing principles, including advanced product quality planning tools and methodologies such as FMEA, DOE, and SPC.Ability to recognize opportunities for improvement and implement changes.Experience developing inspection and test methods.Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.Thorough understanding of statistical theory and application.Fluency in Spanish and English.Desired QualificationsMBA or MS degree in a technical field.Experience as a Supervisor or Manager.ASQ certification.Experience with PeopleSoft (MRP) and InfinityQS software applications.Experience in Supplier Management, Quality, and Engineering.Previous experience in Molding Assembly is a plus.Six Sigma Black Belt.#J-18808-Ljbffr
