MAS Seeds is a subsidiary of Cooperative Maïsadour which regroups more than 4800 members.
MAS Seeds is looking for a **Research and development center manager **for its R&D Department based in San Juan de Abajo, Nayarit, Mexico.
**MASSeeds **has been breeding Corn and Sunflower since 40 years, and since 5 years start its transition of R&D program to speed up and integrate all new breeding technologies in its process. We believe in the power of breeding to adapt varieties to climate change and a more environmentally friendly agriculture. The station in san juan de abajo is completely in line with the transition plan and will allow us in 3 years to carry out all the productions in winter for the needs of R&D (corn and sunflower) and to develop DH operations internally.A strong link will be developed between Queretaro center (already existing, hosting the tropical corn program) and San Juan de Abajo, in order to look for a 3 generations in one year in Mexico.**
**Your main mission **will be to lead the project of creation of a new center in San Juan de Abajo, and plan, coordinate and lead your local team through successful implementation and continuous improvement of effective and efficient winter production respecting request of safety, quality, quantity and time.**
**The position is considered as a permanent full-time job.**
**You will have the responsibilities to**:
- **Compile each season the plans of all R&D programs (corn temperate, corn tropical and sunflower) to be implemented in San Juan de Abajo (nurseries, hand-cross production, isolation production, observations, DHs, pre-basic or basic multiplication, production of pilots, etc.)**:
- **Propose fields, HR organization and budget appropriate to the plan and the objectives collected.**:
- **Manage the budget and investments of your perimeter.**:
- **Manage, coach and coordinate human resources: a full-time team and a seasonal team**:
- **Plan, monitor and encourage daily, weekly and monthly reports with your local team to supervise the execution of the work plan.**:
- **Report weekly the progress of operations at the corporate level: difference between plan and real and alarm in case of strong deviation from the plan for quick decision making.**:
- **Participate and ensure administrative and legal tasks necessary in your perimeter.**:
- **Co-lead, with peers, the process of breeding operations continuous improvement.**:
- **Lead the project of construction of a new site in San Juan de Abajo**:
**Position located in our R&D Station near San Juan de Abajo, Nayarit (Mexico)**
**15% travels in Mexico and annual to Europe

- Profil:You have several years of experience in a breeding seed company or any agronomic company.
- You have a good knowledge of crop production or engineering, seed and farming practices as well equipment operation.

- You have an excellent communication and interpersonal skills both within and external to MAS SEEDS (English language proficiency required).
- You are autonomous and rigorous in your way of working.
