Learn more at www.Averydennison.Com.Job DescriptionROLE SUMMARYThe Material Planner executes part of the core Planning Processes, ordering all necessary materials to support the finished goods plan, utilizing standard operating procedures set in the global Planning Playbook. The Material Planner sends net requirements (orders, forecast) to vendors with the appropriate lead time, identifies and acts on material shortages or out of control, complying with the min/max inventory strategy to adhere to the customer service and inventory targets.Reviews and validates key master data fields on a regular basis, also changing material master to reflect obsolescence and routing materials for scrap. The Material Planner facilitates ongoing vendor meetings, suggesting changes to the SLAs through procurement and notifying procurement when violations of the SLAs occur. Provides inputs to the S&OP processes via the Control tower & Step 3, communicating with Finished Goods planners and Production Scheduler as appropriate.Is accountable for associated KPI performance by their respective cut, e.G. inventory composition, projected number of SKUs below min / above max, material out of stock affecting Production Scheduling, transaction data and material data exceptions, providing root cause analysis as needed
