**Partner with the best**
As Real Time Geomechanics Engineer, you will provide guidance and support for solving complex technical problems that arise during drilling and evaluation.Working with leading-edge technology, you will make key decisions, resolve issues and oversee projects to shape enhancements.
You'll unite cross-functional teams to connect, share knowledge, innovate and to develop improvements.
**As a Real Time Geomechanics Engineer, you will be responsible for**:
- Focused on reducing non-productive time through the early detection of potentially negative events.
- Ability to leverage scarce internal or external geosciences and engineering experts in a collaborative environment supporting multiple wells simultaneously across geographies to provide integrated, real-time recommendations.
- Works closely with the Drilling Superintendents, Well-Site Supervisors and Drilling Engineers.
- Integrate log, core, seismic, geologic and engineering data to better understand and support the evaluation of petrophysical and geomechanical models, well planning, and completions design by using commercial petrophysical, well planning, geomechanics, geosciences software(s)
- Expert knowledge of drilling (well anti-collision, drilling mechanics, borehole stability, stuck pipe, hole cleaning, torque & drag, swab and surge, tripping management and 3-D trajectory planning), LWD, mudlogging and wireline tools and measurements.
- Expert knowledge in well planning, well-site operations geology, seismic interpretation, tectonics, field development planning, risk and uncertainty definition and management, and advanced 1D-3D pore pressure/ wellbore stability analysis.
- Secure state of the art technologies that are continuously monitored, supported 24/7 with smart alerts, designed with multiple redundancies, and have guaranteed levels of service
- Assist the Business Units to prioritize and implement critical standard processes, workflows, tools, practices and guides.
- Review, quality control, and understand advanced resistivity and acoustics processing.
- Recommend optimal logging and coring programs to meet G&G and PE objectives.
- Provide recommendations for mechanical core testing programs and interpret geomechanical core test results.
- Review and interpret LOT/XLOT tests, Post Frac reports, and other data for pore pressure and min.
stress calibration.
- Attends pre-well geological, PPFG peer reviews, or pre-spud/DWOP meetings with the customer and other teams
- Performs setup RT PP Services communications protocol with customer for reporting, collaboration and risk notification
- Performs setup base of operations with data sources (LWD, ML, WL, CoMan) & data feed (WITSML/batch transfer)
- Performs basic QC data from the various sources to be used in PPFG analysis
- Performs basic PPFG analysis using various data sources (resistivity, acoustic, density), and multiple methodologies
- Performs calibration of PPFG results with well events, wireline, integrated datasets and from offset well analysis.
- Creates a final well report with drilling diary, lessons learned and recommendations for future projects and risk mitigation.
- Attends After Action Review with internal groups or customer to identify lessons learned and strategy for future projects.
- Coaches the well site team and other personnel in the interpretation of surface and downhole data
- Provide training and mentoring to lower level engineers
- Identify key reservoir engineering technology needs internally and externally and identify innovative solutions to move the business forward.
