We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Recovery and Resolution Planning Manager.Role purpose:As an Assistant Manager of Recovery and Resolution Planning, you will report to the Americas Head of Recovery and Resolution Planning (RRP) in Global Treasury.
The team is responsible for Recovery & Resolution Planning within the Americas region including the United States and Latin America.
The role will focus on Resolution Planning with opportunities for involvement in Recovery planning.
It will include delivery of US Resolution Planning requirements for the FRB and FDIC (SIFI Resolution Plan and IDI Resolution Plan), and meeting requirements for the Bank of England on the Resolvability Assessment Framework ("RAF").
The role will also support Recovery Planning at a local level within the Region and through input to the Group Recovery Plan (GRP).Main activities:Assisting in submitting local resolution plans to local regulators as required and supporting the group in the submission of the Resolvability Assessment Framework (RAF) self-assessment.Reviewing, interpreting, and applying regulatory guidance related to Recovery and Resolution Planning.Assisting in Recovery Planning for local regulators and the Group RRP Office for submissions to the PRA.Coordinating and supporting senior management in the bank's response to any potential recovery or resolution event.Identifying risks and implementing mitigation approaches at the earliest opportunity.Leading the identification of local fire-drill requirements and training on RRP to ensure understanding and readiness across all levels within the organization.Serving as a subject-matter expert (SME) on recovery and resolution planning, including knowledge and application of evolving internal policies and regulatory rules, legal entity relationships, business lines, products, and balance sheets.Qualifications:A risk, finance, legal, or banking business background.Strong analytical skills with financial and balance sheet management experience.Exceptional drive, motivation, and commitment with a focus on operational excellence.Understanding of HSBC Group structures, values, behaviours, processes, and objectives.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with proven ability to handle multiple outputs simultaneously.Personable and able to get along with all stakeholders, with strong soft skills in delivering complex messages clearly.Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with proven experience of communicating effectively and confidently at all levels across the Group in a complex global environment.Experience engaging and communicating with Regulators.Ability to work under pressure and deal with problems as they arise.
