Regional Category Manager (Cobre) - 008TMA
What will you do? The Regional Category Manager will oversee and be accountable for the Strategy and the Sourcing of Nonferrous raw materials for North America.
Perform needs analysis for different Schneider entities in all geographic zones and segment the category needs. Perform in the geographic zone market analysis / intelligence and identification of market trends that could affect the pricing and supply Identify and propose to the CFT list of Strategic suppliers for the geographic zones as per needs segmentation. Assess supplier risk (quality, bankruptcy, shortage) Contribute to the development and deployment of the global cost models, scoring models etc Drive dynamically the optimization of the supplier base Develop a short, medium and long term strategy for the specific category (1,3,5 year strategy) Communicate strategy at executive levels in North America Execution :
? Directly manage some Strategic suppliers as supplier leader (WW scope) and get involved in global negotiations with the supplier portfolio.
? Support the others purchasers (new projects, operational buyers,…) in their negotiations (tools, arguments, … )
? Drive your annual operational plan (APOP) and ensure acknowledgement and execution of the strategy
? Support the implementation of productivity (QVE -Quality value Engineering /CoS – Change of Suppliers) and identify new savings opportunities with the cross functional team.
? Plan business reviews with Strategic suppliers located in his geographic zone & assign the task to the respective supplier leaders in the zone.
? Follow up the supplier development and improvement actions plans (SAM status, service level and quality improvement).
? Deploy supplier framework agreements with the Strategic suppliers located in his geographic zone
? Propose the evolution of the Supplier Orientation Chart based on the Evolution of the Category Strategy.
? Lead qualification process for any new supplier linked to category
Performance Monitoring: Track the monthly Performance for the suppliers (Quality, Service, Productivity) Handle most critical crisis with Strategic suppliers Qualifications Qualifications This job might be for you if you fit the following requirements: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Mechanical/ Industrial/Electronics Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related, required Ability to speak and write in English fluently Minimum 5 years of experience in the the upper management for Procurement, Purchasing or Supply Chain Ability to interact and negotiate with Key suppliers and Schneider executives on key contracts and services, Negotiation skills in a complex and moving environment Ability to work in multicultural and cross functional mode, strong operational and strategical Experience with successful Procurement supplier negotiations Knowledge on legal contracts and risk management desired Ability to work well in a team and independently Strategic thinking, problem solving and analytical skills Skills, ability to deliver on time, work in project mode, meet deadlines, push decisions.
