Regional Compliance Manager - LatAm Attractive opportunity based in Mexico City to contribute to building and improving a highly effective global Compliance Management System function at Upfield, closely cooperating with the Legal and Compliance team. You will be part of a highly qualified, committed and spirited team featuring strong motivation for our management challenges supporting Compliance and Legal functions for LatAm region.
About the Position: Reporting to the Regional Compliance Officer, you will be responsible for building upon Upfield's existing compliance program to build a best-in -class, integrated Compliance Program for the LatAm region. You will provide strategic and operational compliance support to operational teams across Latam. As such you will:
Add your mark to the implementation, adaptation and continuous improvement of the global Compliance Management System to the countries of the region. Lead and manage the global Compliance Third-Party Due Diligence program for the region. You will have oversight and monitor the screening of third parties and provide periodically reports to the Compliance team on the progress. In addition, you will evaluate due diligence reports and risk assessments, organize in-depth due diligence evaluations and approval processes, monitor alerts delivered by external due diligence assessment for the countries in the Latam region. Anticipate and identify compliance risk issues and challenges and the most appropriate solutions to address them. Organize Upfield employee onboarding processes, review, draft and implement site policies to address legal and operational risks, contribute to the compliance risk identification and assessment processes in the organization in line with the regional compliance plan. Lead compliance investigations within the relevant region, including review of documentation, conducting interviews, and drafting reports. Proactively maintain documentation and tracking of compliance initiatives and activities in the relevant countries. Provide proactive training, advice and support to the LatAm business units on all compliance matters. Actively participate and support the Chief Compliance Officer and the Regional Compliance Officer] on global and regional projects. Support the Latam Legal Team in drafting, assessing and analyzing and negotiating contracts. In addition, you will provide assistance to the Head of Legal Latam on legal related matters. So, what does it take to be successful in this role? You have a soundunderstanding of the main functionalities and processes of an effective global compliance management system. You have at least 3 years ofrelevant experience at an international company with manufacturing and sales activities. You have a bachelor's degree in law. You have strong communication and presentation skills for internal and external stakeholders. As you will be working in a global setting you feel comfortable speaking and writing fluently in English and Spanish, knowledge of Brazilian Portuguese is a plus. You are a team player, who is self-motivated, goal-oriented, flexible, and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. You also quickly adapt to a changing environment, have a hands-on mentality and a problem-solving attitude. You have high attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. You are capable of handling multiple projects. You are a self-starter, possess the ability to work independently and at the same time as an integral part of virtual global teams with very good organizational and implementation capabilities. You should be comfortable working with people of different cultures and backgrounds. You should be willing to travel to Colombia, Brazil and other countries in Latam. Location: Mexico City - Hybrid
