**About the role**:
**Key responsibilities**:
- Develops the Regional Health, Safety and Environmental strategy objectives in line with Global COE strategy and objectives.
- Direct Regional Health, Safety and Environmental activity to ensure legislative, corporate and customer compliance is achieved through the development and implementation of appropriate policies, practices and training.
- Design and document policies and procedures utilizing best practices and global systems for maximum efficiency and consistency.
Adjust existing policies as necessary.
- Participate on definition of business HSE objectives, including the definition of regional HSE requirements and standard for the business.
- Actively oversee the resolution of the first stage escalated HSE issues from regional manufacturing sites.
- Educate key stakeholders on relevant industry best practices and customers standards.
- Conduct gap analysis against standards related to areas of responsibility.
- Represent Kerry at trade and regulatory organizations.
**Qualifications and skills**:
Food, Industrial Engineer or similar
Demonstrable experience as Regional EHS Lead/Manager (food sector desirable) (at least 6 years)
Advanced knowledge of MS Office
Organizational and leadership skills
Interpersonal and communication skills
Self-motivated and results oriented approach
Problem solving skills
Knowledge of Lean tools, TPM or continuous improvement systems
Advanced English
Knowledge of SAP
