**About the Role**:
In order to support future growth, SBD is currently undergoing a significant transformation to become even more innovative and customer focused with supply chain being a critical factor. The Regional Director, Manufacturing will oversee all aspects operations. The region is comprised of multiple manufacturing facilities with up to 5,000 employees. The leader with drive safety, quality, efficiency, productivity, delivery, and inventory for all locations. This highly visible role will be responsible for championing operations excellence throughout the business using process discipline, LEAN, Standard work, manufacturing standardization, etc.; bringing together and building a manufacturing community while integrating closely with our Americas Supply Chain Leadership team.
**Key Accountabilities**:
Envision and drive the implementation of the Global Manufacturing Strategy that supports the overarching Supply Chain strategic plan. This must be inclusive of a strong focus on customer impact and delivery.
- Identify business risks and implement resolutions and scalable mechanisms across Americas Manufacturing
- Drive the manufacturing operations to World Class Model Plant recognition levels
- Utilize sustainable levers to achieve productivity: People development, Lean/ Process improvements, and Technology to ensure targets are met
- Manage operations as the execution part of the business ensuring that we satisfy our customers and at the same time meet our profitability and cash flow needs
- Develop, Communicate, and Foster a Clear Vision and Mission for the business, ensuring the Vision is aligned with Corporate Goals and Objectives
- Set and measure objectives to exceed annual growth plan and cascade these to the direct reports and all manufacturing locations
- Track KPI's, communicate progress, and continually review alignment of Strategic projects (including footprint optimization efforts, CAPEX spend, Productivity) to ensure optimal achievement of annual KPI's
- Direct business planning process improvement initiatives and influence and implement best practice
- Partner with product development and sourcing departments to integrate new supplier or brand launches as well as regulatory upgrades to existing packaging or formulations
- Implement and oversee Lean transformation and manufacturing footprint projects across the region Ensure a safe workplace for all employees as safety is the forefront of everything SBD does with the expectation that the leader will promote, model, and support a safety always culture.
**Leadership and Supervision**:
- Influence, collaborate and support other functions such as Global Supply Management, Supply Chain, Procurement, Industry 4.0, and Process Engineering to obtain the support needed to achieve common goals and prioritize the efforts of this functions where it is most needed for the region
- Communicate on a regular, predictable basis with Plant Operations Leaders and Functional Leaders
- Maintain visibility with general plant populations through regular plant visits including shop floor walks and operations reviews with plant leadership.
- Infuse voice of the customer behaviors and the mindset in all levels of the organization Development of top performing leadership team through timely and personal coaching and training.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in Business or related field; Engineering background a plus
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience in various operations leadership roles with a world class global operations organization
- Experience with a complex globally distributed supply chain
- Operational excellence experience with deep expertise in manufacturing or distribution
- Strong business, analytical and financial acumen
- Innovation mindset with strong technology aptitude including process automation, digital Lean approaches.
