Problem identification involves reports in all forms from dealers, reps and subsidiaries and from field trips (approx. 20-40% of the time). Problem investigation involves statistical analyses, visual and metallurgical analysis of returned parts, development of quick field fixes. This role also involves collaborating closely with GET product group Engineering and Manufacturing teams for potential design or manufacturing improvements, etc. Incumbent will also have responsibility for support of regional dealer inquiries that come through the PSCRM system (e.G. DSN and Parts Tech requests). This position will also have responsibilities for participating and in some cases leading CPI projects. As part of issue containment & resolution activities the service engineer will drive any needed containment and local inspections of parts to help protect customers and dealers while supporting local part availability. Dealer and customer visits will likely be conducted to personally provide expert technical assistance on urgent field problems.This position may also be called upon to help facilitate validation testing or field follow programs to evaluate overall customer acceptance of new product within the respective region. Incumbents may also participate in machine/bucket/site conversion or startup activities including assisting with installation or training on GET products and their proper use.**Basic Qualifications****Education**:Engineering bachelor's degree is required.
