Working collaboratively with the in-country teams, this position will plan and manage a change programme that will:
Ensure Latin America and the Caribbean is a visible and valued contributor to the global PDI communityCreate a collaborative community of PD professionals from each of the country operations and lead them to success via a shared change programmeDevelop and manage the adoption of a suite of integrated tools and processes that are aligned with WSP's current best practicesEngage regularly with each of the internal clients (the Country Managers and Regional Sector Leads) to ensure that they understand the plan, status, next steps and expected benefits to ensure they act as champions of the programme and are enabled to facilitate the change in their operationPosition WSP as the employer of choice for the best PD professionals in the professional services spaceOnboard, assess, coach, train and mentor our professionals to ensure we leverage the talent in the organizationReduce margin erosion and manage operational risks to deliver enhanced financial performanceOrganise and participate in project reviews, with a key focus on our Major Projects, to ensure projects follow the Project Delivery Framework. Monitor and analyze project performance and support teams throughout the project lifecycle. Work with the internal clients to ensure action is taken when significant deviations are detectedEnsure we report timely, accurate and complete information on project performance and the status of the Project Delivery Initiative to the various internal stakeholdersAnalyze Key Performance Indicators (KPI's), trends and gaps across the region to assist with program/process improvementsUndertake other duties and initiatives as may be required from Global Project Delivery and OperationsThis position will report to the Regional CEO and be a member of the Regional Leadership Team.
The Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate will have:
A University Degree in Engineering, Planning or equivalent, with a track record of successfully delivering medium and large, multi-discipline, complex engineering and/or construction projects within a consulting environmentAn impeccable knowledge of the latest Project Management approaches. Ideally PMP certified or equivalentFluent Spanish and English language skills. Portuguese would be an advantageThe legal right to live and work in Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Panamá, Perú or MexicoSignificant experience in delivering major projects in one of our key sectorsLeadership skills to ensure all operations advance togetherExperience in affecting organizational change within multi-disciplinary teamsExceptional written communication skills, including writing standards / policiesExceptional verbal communication skills - clear, concise, and tactful communication with senior management, clients, peers and staffExceptional interpersonal skills: the ability to work well with people from different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experienceStrong strategic, conceptual, analytical thinking and decision-making skillsAdaptable and flexible including the ability to manage deadline pressure, ambiguity, and changeNegotiation skills within a context of political sensitivity and managing conflicting interestsLocation: The position can be in any of our offices in México, West Indies, Panama, Colombia, Perú, Brazil, Chile or Argentina.
