**Position objective**:
You will be responsible for research, planning, and implementing new projects and products into our company. You will also be required to oversee the entire development process of new products and programs within the organization. Your active participation will be required from the initial planning phase to production implementation.
**Requirements**:
Bachelor degree in industrial and technical fields (mechanical, electrical & Chemical).
PMP Certification (preferred).
5+ years of experience in similar position within automotive industry.
Experience in APQP for product development, knowledge of IATF 16949 and VDA 6.3 standards.
Experience leading and managing engineering level teams.
Wire and Cable specifications knowledge.
Experience working with polymers, extrusion, injection, etc.
Risk Management.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Travel availability.
**Main responsibilities**:
- Lead project leaders' team in the developments of the company to support business goals.
- Understand customer expectations and requirements on to-be manufactured products.
- Determine and execute improved technologies used by suppliers, competitors, and customers.
- Establish project goals and priorities by collaborating with sales and operations.
- Transfer new technologies, products, and manufacturing processes into and out of the company.
- Research, design and evaluate materials, processes, and equipment.
- Monitor team metrics and objectives ensuring meeting KPI´s.
- Document and approve all phases of product development.
- Manage customer relationships, attend customer visits, and product customer validation.
- Oversee complex research projects, analyze results and provide recommendations based on findings.
- Assess the scope of project developments and ensure they are on time and within budget.
