.TE Connectivity's Regional Environmental, Health and Safety Senior Manager is an integral part of Senior Management that provides organizational leadership for a comprehensive safety performance and standards as well as driving sustainability. This position will provide leadership to the Company as it relates to safety culture and adherence to safety in all 4 of the Automotive Americas operations in Hermosillo and Empalme, MX, Braganza, BR and Greensboro, NC.Primary owner for leading all Safety & Compliance while developing and maintaining a visible safety culture. Continuously improve employee safety performance to world-class standards; ensure compliance and apositive safety culture; implement EHS policies,programs, procedures, standards, training, and processes; and drive sustainability initiatives.The Regional EH&S Senior Manager must have knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies; ability to implement HSE policies to ensure that provided products and services are safe for people and the environment and in compliance with legal requirements and standards.Knowledge of federal, state, and local manufacturing-related laws and regulations; ability to comply with relevant laws and regulations in manufacturing regulatory Environment practices and activities.**What your background should look like**:**Some of the responsibilities include**:- Implementing strategies for EHS, to ensure effective utilization of resources within the geographical region, while providing support to all applicable locations.- Partner with Business Unit staff and operations teams, to ensure EHS is integrated into business processes, to achieve site TEOA objectives.- Facilitate communication within the region, to share problems, best practices, and lessons learned.- Guide and promote safety performance by facilitating the implementation of safety systems, policies, procedures, and programs to eliminate, prevent and control workplace injuries using lead metrics and problem-solving tools.- Create a world-class safety culture through effective leadership training and by using behavioral safety methods to motivate and influence the workforce.- Foster the implementation of cost-effective energy reduction initiatives, overall environmental footprint reduction, and achieving sustainability objectives.- Ensure that incidents, near-hits, and compliance deviations are fully investigated with operations to drive corrective and/or preventative measures, based on root cause analysis.- Ensure sites report required EHS information (metrics, incidents, defects, audit actions etc.)- Collect, analyze, and trend EHS metrics, communicate results, and develop strategies and specific actions to drive safety and environmental improvement.- Participate as a member of the segment EHS team, maintaining ongoing communications and alignment with the team leader and other regional leaders
