.**COFICAB..****Solicita**:**REGIONAL TOOLING ENGINEER****Descripción y Requisitos****Regional Tooling Engineer****Skills and Attributes**:- Excellent mechanical design skills- Excellent interpersonal skills; Self-driven and directed- Ability to manage a variety of cross-functional requirements- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills- Excellent organizational and follow-up skills- Competent in problem-solving, team building, planning, and decision making- Excellent 3D Model software knowledge (Catia, Solid-works, etc.)- Blueprint/GD&T/Tooling/CAD/FEA expertise- Strong knowledge of machine shop (lathe, mill, etc.)- Tooling/Dies management experience- Fluent in English**Qualifications and Experience Levels**:- Four-year degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Electro-Mechanical/Materials Engineering.- Master's Degree a plus- 2-5 years of experience in the automotive industry in Engineering and Manufacturing positions- Understanding of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Kaizen, lean manufacturing- Experience in managing Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibilities- Understanding of manufacturing and procurement/supply chain- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Project)**Activities**- Champion all-new launch programs and conduct launch team meetings, maintaining the status of each as it relates to timing and budgets- Responsible for leading and executing projects focused on the variation reduction originated by process and/or design of the product that positively influences the business metrics, strategic direction, and financial results.- Develop and maintain tooling performance program for Coficab suppliers- Monitor all production tools to ensure the capability of producing customer minimum quality standards- Review supplier tooling issues related to component quality and production requirements/capacity- Participate in the development of tooling specifications related to part design, producibility, production, or quality issues- Work with suppliers on root cause analysis to prevent, correct, and improve all aspects of the extrusion processes- Support R&D, Industrial Performance Engineering, and Purchasing with extrusion parts and tool design reviews- Analyze and interpret data to make engineering recommendations regarding performance or process improvements- Coordinate and participate in initial sampling of new tooling changes and formulate a plan to correct any discrepancies to allow for customer approval per schedule. This includes verification of tooling alerts, providing tune data where applicable- Monitor all existing production programs for continuous improvement in the areas of scrap reduction and increased efficiencies
