**Responsibilities**:
- Contributes to the development, maintainance and implementation of enterprise wide standards and strategies to strengthen and enhance the Bank's Regulatory priorities.
- Provides guidance to businesses and functions and their business partners in all matters affecting the priorities and works closely with stakeholders to ensure the most effective use of tools and resources in the Regulatory process.
- Drives various projects to advance the Regulatory priorities and is a key contributor to many other strategic regulatory initiatives.
- Manages framework for identifying and assessing regulations and the risks for each line of business to determine appropriate risk coverage.
- Identifies and analyzes risks, emerging risks, and regulations.
- Establishes framework to assess regulations and risks to identify typologies and required controls

**Qualifications**:
- 6-10 years of relevant experience in financial services with a demonstrated understanding of financial system regulations and relevant business domains.
- Experience in Risk Assessment and the development and compilation of policies and procedures
- Management experience.
- Balanced blend of analytical skills, problem solving, and reporting and communication skills.
- Ability to assess business transactions and products in terms of the associated regulatory risks
- Advanced organizational skills including attention to detail, multi-tasking and following up
- Experience using databases and other tracking tools to enforce global consistency
- Excellent writing and presentation skills
- Experience working collaboratively across various areas of the organization and presenting to senior management
- Proficient in Excel suite (Excel, PPT, Word, Outlook), Access domain is a plus.
**Education**:
- Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
- Master's degree preferred.
The In-Business Regulatory Engagement Office (IBREO) Team is responsible for the consistency in the promotion, support, monitoring, and reporting on Banamex communications with its regulators. In Mexico, the IBREO team will support the Franchise.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
IBOC team is a change agent aimed to enhance the regulatory engagement control culture and thereby support senior management decision making. This regulatory engagement role is a key partner addressing regulators' concerns and is improving Banamex's risk and control environment.
The Regulatory Engagement Vice President (VP) role will support the In-Business Regulatory Engagement Head by:
- Developing and monitoring the Mexico Franchise for oversight and communications during regulatory interactions.
- Implementing common standards, procedures, and governance processes to create and maintain consistent and best-in-class regulatory engagements and communications protocols; and
- Providing clear and consistent Supervisory Messaging for all communications between the Regulators and the Mexico Franchise.
The Regulatory Engagement AVP role is based in Mexico City, Mexico, and reports to the Regulatory Engagement Vice President based in Mexico City, Mexico.
KEY RESPONSABILITIES:
- Maintain and develop infrastructure efficiencies for the Regulatory Engagement model and channels of communication with regulator
- Assist in the review and improvement of global Regulatory Engagement model, processes, and practices, including innovation initiatives.
- Integrate all issues to the framework, ensuring consistency, escalation, timely communication of completion of action plans.
- Coordinate Regulatory Engagement reviews and provide an assessment over the quality of Regulatory Engagement's work via formal Regulatory Engagement products (e.g., Scorecards, Thematic Reviews).
- Align designed framework to requests of the regulators.
- Ensure compliance with CITI policies, specifically those related to Regulatory Exam Management and Oversight Standard.
- Provide day-to-day support and guidance on regulatory engagement model, processes, and practices -related matters by leveraging experiencing and using professional judgement.
- Assist with periodic ad-hoc projects (e.g., research and development of Regulatory Engagement specific training).
- Assist the In-Business Regulatory Engagement Head in reviewing key internal and external Regulatory Engagement deliverables.
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and meet strict deadlines, both internal (infrastructure, MCA, Internal Audit, policies) and external (e.g., regulators).
- Operate independently as a Regulatory Engagement partner across the Mexico Franchise, forming partnerships at all levels.
