The Regulatory Manager is responsible for leading the Mexico Flavors and Food Colors Regulatory Compliance functions, coordinating the regulatory compliance standards and activities to support the Latin America business units, including properly communicating and educating management staff on all regulatory compliance requirements for the Group. This position requires in-depth knowledge of compliance protocols and procedures to ensure continuous compliance with global legislation and regulations governing flavors and colors ingredients. This position is office-based either in Tlalnepantla or Lerma. What you will do: Understand, interpret and apply current regulations as applicable to Flavors, Colors & Pharma operations worldwide, with particular emphasis on Mexico and Latin America. Publish and present interpretations and findings from regulatory meetings and literature to drive the Group to the forefront of regulatory compliance. Develop protocols to ensure knowledge transfer throughout all Regulatory staff. Provide broad industry awareness to all senior-level management across Businesses. Maintain processes for accurate and timely delivery of regulatory information to support the development of finished product technical data sheets, including labeling information, allergen data, and nutritional data sheets. Develop and maintain processes to provide customers with certifications concerning product labeling/compliance requirements (e.G., allergens), religious claims (e.G., Kosher, Halal, etc.), and naturalness of products. Develop and improve Regulatory processes and systems, ensuring timely and accurate departmental response to Company and/or Customer regulatory requests. Act as the Subject Matter Expert for the adoption and optimization of the Devex, Decernis, Sensient Docs, and TraceGains systems within the region. Manage, train, and coach all Regulatory staff to assure technical competency and coverage. What you will bring: Bachelor's Degree (BS) in Chemistry, Food Science, or related fields. Relevant experience in food-related regulations and compliance, along with experience in a team leadership and supervisory capacity. Knowledge of computer programming and data handling is necessary. Business acumen, sense of urgency, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Fluency in English and Spanish.
