**Role Porpuse**:
Associates play an integral role on banking teams, initially providing quantitative and analytical support for public offerings, mergers and acquisitions and other financial advisory services for our clients across a variety of industries.
Associates lead in the preparation of company valuations, financial models and client presentations and conduct industry research and analysis.
Shortly after joining the firm, Associates begin to play a significant role in the development and continued cultivation of client relationships.
Associates will develop their skills by working closely with senior bankers and client senior management and will obtain broad exposure to an array of transactions in a wide variety of industries for a period of three to four years.
Following that period, Associates are expected to have core responsibility for executing transactions
**Principal Activities**:
- Assist client companies in developing and executing strategic and corporate finance/ M&A objectives.
- Present strategic alternatives, including merger and acquisition scenarios and multi-faceted financing solutions involving senior, high yield, and mezzanine debt.
- Participate in a wide range of transaction types, including merger and acquisition guidance; equity, equity-linked and debt financing underwriting; private placements and other advisory services.
- Manage and execute the due diligence process for both merger and acquisition and debt transactions, working directly with corporate management teams and private equity groups.
- Develop complex financial valuation models.
Run valuation, credit and capital structure models and suggest capital structure and M&A ideas.
- Research and analyze comparable transactions.
- Work with senior investment bankers developing pitch books and marketing materials.
- Draft confidential information memorandums and management presentations to market sell-side advisory assignments and new debt issuances.
- Partner with senior coverage officers to develop ideas for private equity groups and to monitor private equity groups' portfolio companies.
- Company and industry analysis.
- Assist in identifying potential marketing opportunities.
- Complete other related duties as assigned.

Requirements
**Requirements**:
- MBA or 2-3 years as an M&A Analyst through a formal graduate program
- Relevant backgrounds include finance, accounting, strategy consulting and/or any strong sector expertise.
- Exposure to financial modelling and valuation methods, legal and regulatory environment.
- Strong business awareness and dedication to pursue an investment banking career.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in managing commercial relationships.
- Proven ability in identifying and meeting customer needs through matching a broad range of products and services.
- Good level of business acumen and commercial awareness, including economic, cultural, procedural and regulatory issues
- Ability to interact with business customers at all levels
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent time management, planning and organization skills
- Excellent range of communication skills, including written, verbal, and the ability to deliver compelling presentations
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong credit skills
- Proven ability to deliver creative and flexible customer solutions
- Knowledge of how CMB clients operate (Desirable)
- Knowledge of Cash Management, Global Markets, Trade & Receivables Finance.
- Robust understanding of client planning methodology
- English Advanced
