***This role focuses on supporting attorneys with class action and PAGA (Private Attorneys General Act) claims, requiring strong litigation experience and expertise in these areas.
Strong proficiency in legal writing in English and relevant practice experience is required for this position.Responsibilities:Case Management: Assist attorneys in managing class action and PAGA cases, including tracking deadlines, maintaining case files, and organizing evidence.
Coordinate and prepare documents for multi-plaintiff cases, ensuring compliance with California and federal court procedures.Legal Document Preparation: Draft, proofread, and format legal documents such as pleadings, discovery requests and responses.
Prepare PAGA notices, including detailed summaries of alleged violations and supporting evidence, using an existing template.Client Communication: Serve as a point of contact for class action plaintiffs and PAGA claimants, providing updates and gathering necessary information in both English and Spanish.
Conduct client interviews and assist with declarations to support.Discovery and Evidence Collection: Assist with the collection, review, and organization of discovery materials, including employee records and wage and hour data.
Support attorneys in preparing for depositions, mediations, and trials.Administrative Support: Manage attorney calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate court filings.
