The company reported a 2020 global revenue of USD $845.04 Mn.We are currently searching for a **Remote Database Administrator**:**Responsibilities**- Plan, install, configure, and upgrade Microsoft SQL Server instances and databases.- Monitor database performance, resource usage, and implement optimizations for better efficiency.- Implement and support database high availability solutions, such as SQL Server AlwaysOn, Oracle Data Guard, or similar technologies.- Develop and test disaster recovery strategies to ensure data availability and business continuity.- Enforce security measures, access controls, and encryption to protect sensitive data.- Perform periodic security audits and vulnerability assessments.- Identify and resolve complex performance bottlenecks, slow queries, and resource contention issues in SQL Server and Oracle databases.- Optimize database configurations and SQL queries for optimal performance.- Develop and maintain comprehensive backup and recovery strategies for SQL Server and Oracle databases.- Perform regular backups and test recovery procedures to ensure data recoverability.- Set up proactive monitoring and alerting for database health and performance issues.- Respond to alerts and incidents promptly to minimize service disruptions.- Plan and execute SQL Server and Oracle database patching and version upgrades following best practices.- Develop and maintain automation scripts and workflows to streamline routine database management tasks.- Create and maintain detailed documentation of database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.- Lead efforts to diagnose and resolve complex database-related issues
