**Position Summary**:
Under the general guidance of the Regional Manager, the Repair Engineer is responsible for performing repairs on a wide variety of equipment, assembling systems and configuring materials as needed.
Planning of the raw materials to be used during the repairs and documenting the work performed, all within SAP and Salesforce.

**Repair Activities**:
- Perform basic diagnostics and repairs of CNC and servo/spindle by exchanging PCBs and other components.
- Coordinate the repair operations with Operations Manager, Field Service Engineers, and Regional Manager.
- Perform basic diagnostics on Robot Arms and Controllers.
- Prepare the required programming of software needed for customer orders.
- Follow test procedures to determine equipment status.
- Soldering and desoldering skills for through hole.
- Use of test stands and burn-in equipment.
- Recommend the purchase or transfer of repair parts and tools.
- Document repairs and part information in SAP and Salesforce.
- Perform other job functions as assigned.
**Material Management Activities**:
- Review and maintain MRP integrity to maintain on-time repair goals.
- Order and expedite materials based upon MRP results.
- Maintain calibration of all measuring equipment in repair and field service.
**Supervisory / Management Responsibilities**
- None
**Travel Requirements**
20% as needed for training/seminars or on-site repairs of selected customers.

**Essential Education, Skills and Experience**
- BS in an Engineering Discipline: i.e.
: - Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing Process, Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to achieve results.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral/presentation and written communications skills in both technical and non technical language.
- Conceptual and analytical thinker, ability to understand and analyze complex business strategies and electronic repair issues.
- Team builder/player, ability to work effectively with others
- Fluent in English for reading, writing and speaking.
- Flexible and adaptable process orientation, strong demonstrated work ethic and excellent time management skills.
- Knowledgeable on electrical and mechanical tools for equipment repair
- Mechanical aptitude
- Hands-on knowledge of volt meters, oscilloscopes, and other test / measuring equipment
- Ability to read and understand technical documentation: schematics, logic, procedures, etc.
