.**About the Role****How you will contribute**- Responsible for the development of technical requirements enabling repair and/or rework of consumer and commercial electronic/computer products. Must be able to identify product specific information required whenever OEM information is limited and/or un-available through research using vendor contacts and publicly available information.- Bench level analytics, diagnosis and repair of product may also be required contributing to spec development and support to operations resources in routine troubleshooting of issues that arise during routine daily operations.- Work closely with nominated SMEs across all disciplines to align the internal and external requirements and deliverables supporting identification of equipment requirements including documentation of high level processes when needed.- Support Procurement team(s) in identification of potential suppliers, qualification of component part submissions in partnership with syncreon Quality and customer requirements as needed.- Lead other engineers and/or technicians with launch of new products when necessary including support to Quality Assurance (Incoming Inspection, spec interpretation, etc.)- Must support Solution Design and other functional areas including Sales and Account Management in the development of RFP/RFQ responses.- Other key areas of responsibility and/or support- Liaison with customer's internal and/or external engineering resources- Support the development of syncreon's internal data library (PLM) focused on building and maintaining a database of part number/spec information for products being serviced that are not directly supported by customer.- This database will serve as a resource library for future and current strategically targeted product lines in the Point of Sale (POS) and Home Automation sectors and will also cover specific products for which the immediate customer does not provide technical or design support- Ability to alternately work as individual contributor and manage others simultaneously on multiple initiatives and projects.- Work with regional leads to present Operational, Technical, and Analytical information in customer and internal workshops as required.- Other duties as assigned**Your Key Qualifications**- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering/Electronics Technology or closely related discipline. Equivalent experience will be considered- 5-7 years experience in the analysis of complex electro-mechanical issues as related to the service of consumer and commercial electronic/computer products- Experience within the Consumer Electronics/Computer Products industries; preferably in the repair sectors
