.CIMMYT is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Research and Development, Partners Management Specialist to work in the Project Management Unit of CIMMYT.The position will be based at CIMMYT headquarter in Texcoco, near Mexico City.**Specific duties**:- Builds CIMMYT's competence and capacity in selecting, working together with, and leading partners, contributing to more effective and productive relations, one-time and in-quality partner deliverables and outputs, and raising awareness and knowledge about partners within CIMMYT.- Provides advice and expertise on working with implementation partners in planning ahead for scaling approaches; both during proposal development and during project implementation. Scaling is only possible with partners.- Provides services, tools, and training on partner assessment and selection & in-project research partner relationship management to project leads, principles investigators, and other CIMMYT scientists routinely collaborating with partners to deliver.- Establishes need, and feasibility, sets up and manages a partners' community or network (possibly along the lines of an alumni network, or expert database), contributing to building and expanding a network of 'trusted' partners.- Implements communications actions targeted at partners and with partners' communications team/person.- Participates in implementing the Resource mobilization strategy, by contributing to other RMPM activity areas and by having an eye on grant-operational and donor-programmatic linkages.- Perform related duties as assigned.**Required academic qualifications, skills, and attitudes**:- Master's Degree from a well-recognized university in Communication, International Development, Business Administration, or similar field with certification in Project Management (PMI or similar).- Experience in A multi-project work environment for more than 5 years, part of that in an international environment.- Demonstrated experience in managing a wide range of Global South and Advanced Research Institute partners in agricultural research and rural development projects or programs, including so-called multi-stakeholder partnerships (MSPs); demonstrated capacity in strategic approaches to partnership selection and building, including relevant Monitoring, Learning and Evaluation.- Multi-year experience with different kinds of innovation systems, technology transfer, and scaling-out and -up approaches, methods, and tools.- Build strong relationships with counterparts at all levels, focuses on results and intended outcomes of grants management, and establish links and connections (e.G., with Communications about project success reporting). Demonstrates resourcefulness, initiative, and ability to meet tight deadlines.- Consistently approaches work with energy and a positive, constructive attitude.- Actively works towards continuing personal learning and development; responds positively to feedback
