.**A snapshot of your day**As part of basic research, you will independently carry out analytical and numerical analyses to evaluate component load-bearing capacity in structural mechanics and dynamics. They develop calculation methods and carry out basic tests that are used as the basis for the development of our high-voltage products. In close coordination with the test fields, the colleagues of the development projects and partners of the company, you will support the development of our high-voltage products.**How you can make a difference**- Carrying out structural analyses and strength assessments of components analytically as well as by means of FEM- Implementation of optimization measures to increase component strength, weight reduction and damage tolerance- Preparation of standard and standard-compliant strength verifications in German and English- New and further development of simulation tools and calculation methods, including the creation of macros- Familiarization with standards and regulations- Collaboration and support of development and customer projects- Support in the planning of qualification tests of high-voltage switchgear and its components- Development of technical solutions in cooperation with the respective projects- Documentation and communication of calculation results- Comparison of test and simulation results- Supervision of basic experiments**What you bring to the table***- Completed studies in mechanical engineering, physics or comparable courses of study- Experience in static and dynamic strength calculation using FEM- Practical experience with FEM programs, ideally ANSYS- Analytical skills and a systematic way of working to solve complex tasks- Strong teamwork and communication skills- Analytical, structured and goal-oriented way of working- Fluent in English**Who is Siemens Energy?**At Siemens Energy, we are more than just an energy technology company.
