**Knowledge**:
- Mandatory: Microsoft Office;
Desirable: Statistical software (MiniTab, Origin); Thermodynamical modeling (JMatPro, Thermocalc, Crystalmaker, etc.)
- Knowledge in ferrous physical metallurgy,
Electron Microscopy and characterization techniques.
- Solid-State Phase transformations, including thermodynamic & kinetic understanding of phase, precipitation and chemical reactions.
- Prior background or experience in welding metallurgy related activities is a plus.
- Confident with technical discussions.
- Ability to work independently (autonomously), with a high drive to obtain results without supervision.
- Interest in developing a career in industrial applied research.
- Proactive, focused on details and ability to manage several tasks.
- Easiness for working in a manufacturing industrial environment in combination with related specialized laboratory work.

**Experience**:
- PhD without experience.
- MSc with 5 years demonstrated previous experience as part of academic studies or industry work.
- Participation and research stays with international research groups or international companies are a plus.

**Purpose of the position**:
Execution of research and development activities aiming to contibute to Tenaris mission of delivering value to customers through product development and manufacturing excellence.
**Main Responsibilities**:
- Create scientific and technological knowledge and pursue innovation in the Metallurgy field.
- Execute research related activities; participate in high-end product development mainly for LP & OCTG, and Automotive product segments, aimed with a strong orientation to establish relationships in alloy design-process-material performance associated with the metallurgical characteristics designed for these products.
- Follow-up of the execution of industrial trials.
- Produce and present technical reports.
- Basic Project Management.
- Contribute to the on the job training of Researcher Assistants.
