This role is based in Atotonilco, Jalisco.
Initially, this person will be leading and assure the execution of the construction projects and shall guarantee the project's important metrics on time, quality and safety.
**a) Financial**:
The role will ensure the accurate follow-up and delivery of the operational projects within the overall budget, review and consolidate project implemented performed vs contracted, to be validated by the Construction manager.
**b) Management**:
This engineering / operational projects covers multi-functional and technical competencies.
This role will influence and handle multi-functional project teams, including internal and external resources (contractors).
This role has direct responsibility for leading and running the project team which will include full-time Diageo employees, contractors, and both local and international suppliers.
- Establish and positively lead project budgets and objectives.
This role must follow CAPEX standardized project along the organization, ensuring completion and delivering overall projects using change control management, training, construction management, scope development, and consensus with customers on user requirements, justification, constraints, and assumptions.
It is important to communicate project status, needs, and critical metrics to a wide range of customers across the business.
- A strict leadership is required in terms of safety, which will allow influencing at all levels both internally and externally through mentoring, facilitation, and multi-functional team working.
It is imperative that the role delivers projects **with zero harm.

- To know how to set and maintain clear direction on safety is needed.
- This Job Position must ensure projects are within scope, direction, and schedule.
Able to lead contractors groups to get the job done.
- This role requires exposure to Managers and customers across Diageo.
- Give to delivery of CAPEX plan on time, within budget, and to the agreed specifications/performance according to Diageo policies.
**This will include**:
- The leadership of suppliers and contractors, and management of the team.
- Development of personnel through coaching and mentoring.
- Lead and support the site teams in the implementation of capital investment plans.
- Engage other business functions to ensure smooth Supply operations during project implementation.
- Ensure consistency to Diageo Global Risk Management Standards.
Ensure Diageo has the most efficient investment solution.
- Instill a way of working on continuous improvement.
- Mentored and led engineering and operations personnel.
- Support the achievement of the overall Diageo Mexico business plans.
**c) Required Professional & Skills**:
- **University degree in Engineering (Civil, Architect, Structural, Mechanical)**:
- 3-4 years at least of confirmed experience in construction projects, brownfield, green fields, and Industrial construction.
- Medium to High complexity projects.
- Experience in EPC **or **EPCM **projects.
- Project management, Cost management, Schedule control.
- **Knowledge of Commissioning and Qualification.

- Structural quantification
- Progress estimation approvals.
- Construction Safety deep knowledge.
- Contractors' coordination

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple work streams while delivering to target dates.
- Microsoft Office suite literate (MS Project **useful **).
- Shown successful project supervision with a consistent result.
- Strong self-managing, independently, and dedicated as it relates to workload, problem-solving, and fixing.
- Shown ability to collaborate multi-functionally and coordinate efforts around process improvement.
- A strong understanding of basic elements of Good Manufacturing Practices in a manufacturing environment is required.
- Must have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work efficiently under time-sensitive situations.
