**Property management**:
- Regularly reviews facilities provision, making recommendations for improvements and contributes to policy-making.
- Plans, prioritises, and manages maintenance activities and upgrades to equipment, facilities, and systems to minimise disruptions to business activities and use the organisation's facilities and resources effectively.
- Leads planning and implementation of major facilities upgrade projects.
**Office services**:
- Develop and maintain policies and processes in which agreed facilities are consistently delivered at agreed quality and price levels
- Liaises with functional or operational area managers to ensure that the office / building facilities as well as administration policies, programmes, and activities are appropriate for current and future business needs.
- Manages the day-to-day operations of a wide variety of office services to ensure that the organisation's current and future facilities and administrative needs are met efficiently, reliably, and economically, both insourced and outsourced services
- Monitors facilities budget to ensure variances are accounted for.
**Contract management**:
- Establishes, evaluates, and recommends office-related contracts with suppliers and third-party service providers, advising office supplies and equipment purchases to minimise costs and meet the business needs.
- Select, and manage ongoing relationships with external suppliers (for example, cleaning or maintenance contractors or equipment vendors) to ensure the **organisation receives satisfactory standards of service.**
**Team management**:
- Manages a team professional support staff to ensure that facility, support and administrative activities are completed on time, according to established standards, and within established budgets.
- May supervise external facilities support or maintenance staff.
**Other duties**:
- May assess health and safety risks, organise emergency drills, keeps up to date with regulations, and ensures compliance from external contractors.
- Contributes to disaster recovery planning for office and site facilities.
