Why this role is important to us:Accountants are finance professionals who ensure that business transactions are captured and booked accordingly. The Accountant has a basic understanding of accounting practices and is responsible for booking according to global policies and local GAAP. The Accountant will be specialized in customer contract set up and updating contracts in the ERP system for entities across the Group. Regardless of the specific responsibilities assigned, the Accountant is responsible for the accurate and timely booking of transactions which are the basis of our internal and external reporting activities.
What you will be responsible for:Support the order-to-cash-process Assist in month-end closing, local reporting/compliance obligations and other accounting tasksReview and help modifying existing customer contracts ensuring correct revenue reporting and other revenue KPIsPerform Revenue recognition according to reporting criteriaProcess payments, reconcile customer accounts, validate deductions and process credit memosCollaborate with other departments to ensure records are accurate and complete and that accounts receivable ledgers and journals are up-to-dateAssist with invoicing and cash collection; generate and send out invoices to clientsAny ad hoc responsibilities as and when requiredWhat we value:Experience in working within an accounting team in a similar roleShould be at an intermediate level in Excel (e.g., pivot tables, V-lookups)Effective written and oral communication skills – will be expected to communicate with all departments across various levels of seniorityBachelor of Accounting or FinanceMust have experience with SAP or any ERP systemAbility to follow instructions and procedures, follow through on issues and prioritize effectivelyAmenable to work on a Hybrid setup (4x per week), following EMEA time (1PM to 10PM PHT)An attractive salary, bonus scheme, and pension are essential for any work agreement.
