KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Daily activities Review local accounting for daily transactions, from the revenue management and expenses, using local ERP and corporate financial system and other financial tools for tax purposes.
Key point of contact with central tax teams based in Geneva.
Review the balance sheet accounts related to taxes.
Monthly Key responsibilities Calculate and review monthly local and federal taxes calculation.
Review the social security tax balances.
Detail general ledger tax account analysis and reconciliations between local and corporate books, coordination with HQ and key accounts reconciliations following corporate rules.
Report and pay taxes on a timely basis to assure proper compliance with local and federal regulations.
Supervise payroll entries and conciliation between withholding taxes from payroll and accounting.
Review the withholding tax due to foreign payments.
Ability to answer tax questions to local management.
Review tax entries and supervision of work paper for Accruals Review of monthly closing folder Deferred tax calculation Issue and Reconcile "Complemento De Pago" between accounting collection/vendors payments and tax authority data base.
Reconcile the accounting revenues with tax authority data base.
Reconcile import VAT with customs declaration.
Statutory Audits.
Manage the statutory audit process with the external auditors.
Prepare and fulfilment year and close for CPA of the annual tax opinion "Dictamen Fiscal" In charge of the full execution and deliverables of the audit.
Calculation and filed monthly/annual tax returns (direct and indirect) through Tax Authority.
Fulfill the tax report and support on transfer prices studies and informative reports.
(Local/Master file).
Attend tax authorities audits.
Coordinate the e-accounting compliance Escalate issues and bottleneck to Head of Accounting and Tax and CFO when needed.
Yearly Key responsibilities Review fixed assets investments and fiscal depreciation following local and corporate rules.
Active role in Internal Controls compliance/audit Ad-hoc Special projects and ad hoc reports for local management as needed.
Effectively research, track, and resolve tax problems and discrepancies Supervise and attend tax audit Team coaching and management: Control and promote the professional growth of team members Develop the efficiency of team's work relationships with internal and external partners Define and communicate missions and objectives of all team members, clearly establishing priorities Conduct performance appraisals for all team members Assess training needs for the team and plan their career evolution.
