Rock Mechanics Engineer – Pit Geotechnical Engineer (Us And/Or Mexico)

About the role: · Assisting with geotechnical characterization and assessments in support of open pit, and mine closure rock mechanics projects
· Supporting senior staff in completion of projects in Open Pit mining rock mechanics and mine closure
· Performing field work, data collection, field testing, data analysis, excavation stability assessments, and calculations
· Preparing and working with 2D and 3D models
· Assisting with the preparation of technical reports
· Collaborate with the project team to develop project scopes, budgets, and schedules.
· Prepare technical reports, proposals, and presentations for clients
About you: · Bachelor's Degree in Geotechnical, Mining or Geological Engineering, or closely related discipline.
· 5+ years of relevant consulting or operating experience in a mining or consulting setting
· Demonstrated background in rock engineering and mine closure
· Strong organizational skills
· Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
· Strong people skills and an ability to work in a team environment (ability to communicate with clients would be an asset)
· Occasional travel will be required depending on project-specific needs.
· Collaborate with the project team to develop project scopes, budgets, and schedules.
· Prepare technical reports, proposals, and presentations for clients
· Spanish is a plus
