We connect customers and consumers to our iconic products and create innovative experiences that bring people together to celebrate life.**Context/Scope**:Amid having a solid position as market leader into the growing category of whisky & tequila, Diageo is facing increased competitiveness within the Spirits industry, which demands the acceleration in the attainment of true commercial & noncommercial competitive advantages, in order to meet/ exceed customers' expectations and achieve high-reaching business goals.Commercial Finance plays an important role as key player to drive the implementation of the commercial strategy, identify investment efficiencies, deliver promptly and quality information to drive business decision making and as a partner to other functional areas.The significant investment and the fragmentation of the channel calls for a detailed review of the sales quotas and proof of performance to support spending. The position is responsible for the control of such investment and channel strategy.**Dimensions**:- Take an active role in design and implementation of the RTC strategy, being a trusted business partner- Develop and handle the NRM initiatives- Exercise influence to change business-as-usual practices in order to achieve differential business goals- Support decision making regarding specific commercial and overall strategic areas, related but not limited to the business financials**Leadership Responsibilities**:- Identify and lead transformational initiatives in order to accelerate improvements in business performance & process efficiency- Ample capacity to fulfill business performance reading needs in order to support senior management decision making- Facilitate the forecasting of the Commercial team into th One Plan Process through the S&OE & Pre Demands meetings**Purpose of Role**:- Partnering with Channel Director & Team leads, CP&A & Sales Control to develop and implement the RTC Channel Strategy- Provide the Commercial Exec (Sales Channel and Marketing Directors) with high quality information and insights that can be transformed into incremental sales and improvement of competitive position- Build a comprehensive control framework useful to run business smoothly and to opportunely identify/mitigate potential risks- Become an active resource to identify, design, control and implement opportunities for growth of current business
