**Component Designer**
Develops components (attachments, high voltage, low voltage and grommets)
**Your key tasks**:
- Analyses and evaluates system, component and part requirements using relevant methods and tools.
- Creates concepts for components
- Conducts design reviews and transfers findings into product design
- Defines test and validation plans and evaluates test results
- Prepares and releases the bill of materials (""engineering bill of materials"")
- Keeps own knowledge of component design and related production processes up to date with the latest technology
- Evaluates product change requests and provides solutions
- Defines technical requirements for prototypes
- Identifies cost saving potential (using VAVE) and coordinates implementation where appropriate
- Works at LEONI and/or customer sites
- Participates in component projects from the design concept through series launch to the end of lifecycle
- Reviews design data and releases engineering design
- Supports technical customer presentations
- Is the contact person for technical matters. Internally (project, opposite sales, operations,...) and as a service partner for customers and suppliers.
