You will report to S&T Product Development Chemist
**Key Responsibilities**
- Follow experimental procedures to develop paints and coatings.
- Plan and accomplish the necessary evaluations to test the functionality of new technologies by obtaining reliable data.
- Follow up on scale-ups and production batches.
- Provide results of the projects in which they collaborate, ensuring that the goals are met within the established deadlines.
- Demonstrate basic knowledge of chemistry and coatings technology.
- Learn and demonstrate the use of coatings terminology, standard operating procedures and equipment related to individual jobs/projects. Seek knowledge of new technologies.
- Use the scientific method through directed experimentation, observations, good documentation and recommendations that further project goals.
- Perform analysis and storage of data generated in projects (data science).
- Correlate information through data analysis and programming.
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
- **+2 years of experience in data analysis (Data science).**
- +2 years of experience in programming (Python, C, R), machine learning and artificial intelligence.
- Intermediate English.
- 1+ years experience in the paint industry.
- Handle paint evaluation laboratory equipment (viscometers, mechanical stirrers, dispersers, potentiometer, spectrophotometer, tensiometer, weathering) and chemicals.
- Knowledge in polymer chemistry is desirable.
