As a member of the LatAm Safety Ops team you will play an active role in making Uber safer for everyone who uses our platform. We are searching for a highly motivated individual to support the LatAm Safety Ops team to use data to answer relevant business questions, solve problems, and improve processes.What you will do?Understand the analytics needs of internal stakeholders and provide them with solutions that meet those needs.Navigate Uber's databases to find the data you need to solve the problem at hand.Support team members with rigorous analysis on how a feature is performing.Monitor existing features' efficiency metrics and report in case something is off.Communicate your findings verbally, visually, and in writing.What do you need?Working knowledge of SQL is a must.Advanced level of spoken and written English (B2 or above).Ability to work with numbers, spreadsheets, models, and data visualizations.Solid understanding of statistical fundamentals: descriptive statistics, probability distributions, tests of hypotheses, confidence intervals, regressions, and experiments.Written and verbal communication.Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders coming from both technical and non-technical backgrounds.Organization and learning.Attention to detail: the team must be able to rely on your work with confidence.Ability to work autonomously, and to learn new tools on your own.Creative problem solving: you don't give up on the first attempt. Rather, you explore multiple possibilities to solve a problem.QualificationsBachelor in Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or Business.2+ years of experience in a data-oriented role in operations, consulting, analytics, or a related field.The following are not required, but will strengthen your application:Experience working with Python (Libraries: pandas, numpy, etc & API's).Experience working with R.Experience working with Automation Tasks (using Python) and Github.#J-18808-Ljbffr
