As a Safety Engineer at SSOE, you will collaborate with engineering teams, and Corporate staff to monitors and controls company's safety standards in the workplace accordance with applicable regulations, such as: Mexico NOM´s, and STPS and state regulations, or government building codes.**This position is an onsite role that requires you to work at our Leon, Gto. Offices and to be able to travel to our Chihuahua Offices too. **Remote or hybrid work for this role is not available**.**Responsibilities**:The following duties are typical of the position, but are not all encompassing. Responsibilities include those required to deliver quality service on schedule and within budget in a team environment.- Develops, implements, and maintains the safety management system. Inspect and evaluate workplace environments, equipment, and practices, in order to ensure compliance with safety standards in Mexico government regulations.- Monitors and controls company's safety standards in the workplace accordance with applicable regulations, such as: Mexico NOM, and STPS and state regulations, or government building codes.- Leads and motivates staff with respect to safety throughout the organization, making certain that safety requirements, practices and procedures are understood and utilized by all staff.- Ensures all staff understands the basic safety and health requirements needed to ensure compliance with regulatory safety and health law as well as applicable SSOE best safety management practices- Develops a daily, weekly and monthly reporting system to executive management and Board personnel with regard to injury experience, job incidents, safety training, status of safety objectives and general safety performance of SSOE as compared to its overall industrial classification.- Assists Human Resources to develop a method of scoring and evaluating the safety performance of SBUs in general and also of each Construction Manager activities.- Develops a "Safety Alert" process which communicates important safety and health information throughout the organization such as accidents involving serious injuries and the controls put into place to prevent a reoccurrence, safety reminders, the creation of a new safety procedure or policy etc
