**DY Corporation** is a South Korean company founded in 1978. Throughout the years DY has become a globally competitive supplier of hydro automotive components for industrial machinery mainly focused in heavy duty. DY has been expanding around different countries such as Japan, China, India, USA and soon to be Mexico.
The site in Mexico is named **DY Mechatronics** and it is now in construction, expecting to be finished by the end of 2024. It is so far one of the biggest and most important projects held by the corporation, the reason why we are very excited to work on our new team.

**Role Description**
This is a full-time Safety, Health and Environment Engineer position on-site located in Nuevo León. The Safety, Health and Environment Engineer will be responsible for ensuring and guaranteeing a safe and protected work environment. This will be achieved by implementing preventative measures, based on current regulations, in order to avoid incidents, accidents and injuries, ensuring strict compliance with safety and health regulations at work. Will also be responsible for compliance with environmental regulations, effectively managing waste, promoting energy and resource efficiency, educating and raising awareness among staff about best sustainability practices, conducting relevant audits to evaluate performance and proposing innovations that improve environmental impact, thus ensuring that the company's operations are carried out in a responsible and environmentally sustainable manner.
**Qualifications**
- Create and maintain safety and environmental policies and procedures based on best practices and applicable regulations.
- Maintain the environmental documentation and records required by the competent authorities.
- Organize and conduct safety training programs for new and existing employees, covering topics such as emergency evacuations, safe handling of equipment, and first aid procedures.
- Establish emergency action plans and coordinate effective responses to crisis situations such as fires, major accidents, or security threats.
- Investigate and document all security incidents, analyzing the underlying causes and recommending corrective actions to prevent them from recurring.
- Identify and assess risks associated with hydraulic cylinder manufacturing, such as handling hazardous materials, heavy machinery operations, and chemical storage.
- Identify, classify and properly manage the hazardous waste generated by the company. And coordinate the collection, transport, treatment and final disposal of this waste in accordance with environmental regulations.
- Carry out periodic audits to assess compliance with safety and environmental policies, ensuring that the company is aligned with the required safety standards.
- Propose and lead initiatives to continuously improve security standards in the company, implementing new technologies or procedures as needed.
- Promote a proactive safety culture among employees, regularly communicating safety issues and acknowledging good practices.
- Monitor and control the consumption of natural resources and energy in operations.
**Requirements**:
- Good knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations, as well as occupational risk management procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform risk analysis and conduct detailed investigations of security incidents, identifying root causes and proposing corrective solutions.
- Experience in developing and implementing safety and environmental training programs ensuring that all employees are properly informed and trained.
- Ability to identify potential security issues and proactively develop effective solutions.
- Demonstrated experience in implementing environmental management and compliance programs.
- In-depth knowledge of local, national and international environmental regulations.

**Recruitment Process**
Once the profile is reviewed by the HR and administration staff you will receive a call or a message from DY Mechatronics Mexico. It is a 3 step process which requires 3 different interviews. The first interview is held by phone call from the HR staff for general information and CV fact check.
