**Overall responsibilities and duties**:
The Sales Engineer for Faurecia Clarion Electronics
is responsible for all commercial aspects of the assigned product and customer portfolio.
These responsibilities include customer relationship management, new business development (acquisition), forward model commercial management up to product launch and current model commercial management throughout the product lifecycle.
The sales engineer is responsible for sales, customer support, acquisition and market development supporting our Electronics business in LATAM to ensure customer satisfaction, attainment of revenue and growth targets in Latin America.
In this Sales position, the Sales Engineer will be responsible for it's assigned accounts and projects, identifying sales opportunities within existing and new accounts, drive key activities, including prospecting, strategy and account planning, executive relationship development and discovery assessments.
They will work closely with the other staff members to drive and, growth and excel in account related topics, and value-driven initiative generation.

The main missions of the role are:
- Develop in-depth intimacy with Customer and internal contacts (Purchasing, Engineering, Programs, logistics, etc.)
at many levels.
- Prepare and check/validate the commercial replies to answer on due time to the customer requests.
- Responsible for on-time / on-profit customer ECRs ("Engineering Changes Requests") negotiation.
- Supports the negotiation of ECRs and commercial claims (i.e.
freight, obsoletes, price increase, etc.).
- Propose continuous improvement ideas in business efficiency and cost reduction
- Capitalizes on knowledge and shares best practices / lessons learned across organization and within the site.
- Formulates a sales strategy for the related products and customers and drive its implementation throughout the organization including cross functional responsibility
- Manages and prioritizes opportunities and pursuits pipeline for the dedicated products, projects and customers.
- Develops & wins new business.
Leads quotation of new business, present and negotiate with key customer contacts in order to win new business (host RFQ kick off, set up RFQ folder, manage quote team activities, build the business plan, challenge quote team inputs to ensure competitiveness, prepare offer)
- Drives maximum value and profitability in opportunities.
- Understands market / customer potential to influence quote process with supporting data / trends.
- Has deep knowledge of how the customer operates.
- Negotiates and quotes customer new business opportunities with support of leadership team
- Works as a member of the program Core Team to support product and platform launches.
- Ability to perform actions with SAP, Covisint, Customer systems, etc.
- Supports and manage weekly Open Issues / Business Development Meetings with Customer
- Effectively communicates with all other automotive team members to promote the business needs of the territory to foster growth
- Generates and manages Sales, Opportunities & Forecast Reports
- Represents the company at senior levels within the customer base and internally to ensure the image of FCE is maintained and enhanced as an aid to achieving sales targets.
- Ensure terms & conditions are negotiated to maximize the benefit of FCE (prices, costs, volumes, warranties, raw material price clause, intellectual property, design ownership, etc.)
- Responsible for development of accurate data reporting.
- Builds and fosters an excellent business relationship the customer organization including lead the purchasing relationship and be a key stakeholder in engineering and operational relationships with the customer to ensure the right match of technology and commercial aspects is provided to the customer
- Leads commercial aspects of all business from time of award until product launch - analyzes product cost (purchasing and manufacturing cost models, direct and indirect labor, business plan updates, ECR management)
