Team Description

Sabre Travel Solutions is looking for a talented Sales Engineer for its lodging program.
Role and Responsibilities

What will you achieve?
Work with Commercial Agency Team to grow hotel sales with existing accounts and to vet, onboard and convert new agencies with Lodging Sales across your region.
Role and Responsibilities- Develops relationships with Agency and Supplier Sales & Account management teams to understand their needs and objectives and to identify ways to increase partnership, integration, and mutual revenues for lodging- Provides general technical guidance to agency as needed or at the request of Agency Account Manager- Provides input to Agency Account Manager on proposed selection criteria- Together with the Account Manager leads the qualification process- Provides pre-sales analysis to help close sales opportunities- Provides consultative technical engagement to assist partners to integrate with CSL (Content Service Lodging) APIs according to best practice- Proactively identifies issues that could impact the successful execution of the Commercial team goals in key opportunities- Works collaboratively in a team environment with Strategy, Supplier Account Managers, Hotel Helpdesk, Agency Account Managers as well as Implementation resources to meet customer expectations- Supports successful implementation of CSL solution (APIs, SR360 and/or GetThere)- Works closely with internal Technical Subject Matter experts- Maintains good general knowledge of Sabre Lodging solutions as they continually evolve- Optimizes commercial agreements and new commercial initiatives to drive Sabre business- Captures competitor intelligence- Assists in customer presentations on an as needed basis and provides field and remote support in customer engagements- Makes a conscious effort to contribute value-added services and ideas to our customers

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Must Have Skills:
- Bachelor's degree- Account management and/or Commercial experience- At least 5 years working experience in the Travel Industry, at Travel Agencies, GDSs, Hotels, Content Aggregators or similar companies- Understanding of the GDS technology to acquire, aggregate, normalize and distribute travel content- Strong analytical and communication skills

Nice To Have Skills:
- Knowledge of strategic selling methodologies like Miller Heiman- Knowledge of standard API concepts (REST, SOAP, use of Postman collections)- Operational understanding of mid and back-office systems commonly used by travel agencies- Experience in process improvement projects and the use of six sigma tools/concepts
