Job Description Reporting to the Reclaim Manager based at the Head Office in Canada, the primary focus will be on promoting and selling of the recycling program, with a specific emphasis on solder dross, a byproduct of electronics manufacturing.
The responsibilities will include:
Overseeing procurement, negotiating contracts with suppliers, and fostering strong relationships to ensure the recycling program's growth and success. Identify and evaluate potential suppliers of solder dross materials in the electronics industry. Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness. Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, fostering collaboration and effective communication channels. Coordinate with logistics and operations teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery of solder dross materials to our facilities. Monitor market values, trends and industry developments to anticipate changes in supply, demand, and pricing of solder dross materials. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including customer service, production, EHS, transport and finance. Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including contracts, pricing agreements, and supplier performance evaluations. Stay updated on regulatory requirements and industry standards related to the handling and disposal of solder dross materials. Qualifications 3 years of experience in sales, business development, purchasing, or commercial roles, preferably in the electronics, metal trading or recycling industry. Fluency in English and Spanish, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Solid understanding of supply chain management principles, including inventory control and logistics.
