Sales Operations Specialist

Position Breakdown:
As a Methode Sales Operations Specialist, you will serve as a key representative to our customers. You will also support Methode's Business Development team by managing all commercial aspects of the relationship and seek to maximize Methode's sales and profitability while leading commercial, timing, and technical topics essential to the product development cycle with Program Management and Engineering to meet/exceed customer program requirements and expectations. In doing so, you will continually seek ways to build/protect Methode's reputation and gain opportunities for additional business.
- 70% Internal support to Business Development Team including PO processing & other sales admin
- 30% External support to customers primarily PO support working with customer buying teams
Process:
- We use a CRM (Salesforce) and have a set sales process.
- RFQs come from a variety of sources (sales, customers, etc.).
- Sales owns revenue pipeline and customer relationships.
- Engineering owns product development.
- Quoting Manager owns pricing.
You will work with the following internal resources to complete your tasks.
- Purchasing
- Engineering
- Quote Manager
- Program/Launch Manager
Top Skills (Hard or Soft):
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business with strong business acumen
- 4 years relevant business experience in automotive sales/sales support and account management
- Prior experience supporting with OEMS including usage of portals preferred
- Fully developed account management, program management, and (sales skills a plus)
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively present information to diverse groups
