Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a Security Sales Specialist to help protect customers from information security threats. In this role, you will promote AWS's native security services portfolio and partner security solutions featured on AWS Marketplace.
You will partner closely with AWS sales teams, including account managers, solutions architects, customer success, partners, demand generation, marketing, and more. Your goal is to pursue sales opportunities for AWS and partner services.
You will work directly with some of AWS's largest customers, developing relationships at the executive and technical levels. Your mission is to advise them on improving their security posture by adopting and operationalizing cloud security services.
As part of our commitment to improvement, you will collect customer feedback to help guide the roadmap for our cloud security portfolio.
AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.
Key job responsibilities
5+ years in a role dedicated to information security
- 5+ years of field sales or business development representing a large technology OEM portfolio to large enterprise customers
- BA/BS degree
- Multi-year experience as a tenured Security Salesperson.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills, consistent with developing C-level enterprise customer relationships
- Demonstrated ability to work across a matrixed, cross-functional team.
- Sales overlay experience (as a specialist, Enterprise etc)
- Experience working with or selling in cloud computing environments
- A great advocate of great customer trust
- Ability to operate successfully and independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Be comfortable with ambiguity and curious to learn new skills

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of direct sales or business development in software, cloud or SaaS markets selling to C-level executives experience
- Experience positioning and selling technology to new customers and new market segments
- Experience in direct sales or business development in software, cloud or SaaS markets selling to C-level executives
- 5+ years of field sales or business development representing a large technology OEM portfolio to large enterprise customers
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of software development practices and data center/infrastructure/networking technologies
