We sell upper level and graduate textbooks and courseware in a wide range of disciplines such as Classics, Biomedical Engineering, Physics, Political Science, and Linguistics. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a vital role in helping our experienced sales team reach their customers and meet customer needs.About the roleThe Sales Support Assistant provides valuable administrative support to the HE Americas Sales Team to help the sales reps sell both courseware and academic texts. In addition, the job holder will be required to work on projects at the direction of the HE Sales Support Manager.The candidateWill maintain and update information in our customer relationship management system and other sales systems. Data entry.Support the HE sales representatives in the field.Work with other departments to obtain product information.Attend in-house meetings in the US and UK, and other duties as required.Assist faculty with requests and troubleshooting.Tasks include:Assist faculty with instructor materials.Sending out follow-up emails to faculty.Working with editorial and authors regarding leads that they supply and other requests.Collaborate with colleagues from around the globe.About youYou will be a highly motivated and experienced Sales Support Assistant with the following skills, knowledge and qualifications:Essential:Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Fluent in English and Spanish—written and oral.Working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Teams.Detail-oriented.Comfort working with databases and researching.Flexible approach to work.An understanding of the customer.Good time management skills.Excellent communication skills.Critical thinking and problem solving.BA/BS or equivalent work experience.Desirable:Educated to degree level or above.Prior knowledge of SAP, Salesforce, and database programs.Analytic and creative skills.Commercial awareness.Direct experience of, or qualification in publishing.Knowledge of textbook publishing.A valid US visa.Rewards and benefitsWe will support you to be at your best in work and to live well outside of it.
