BASIC FUNCTION
1. The Staff Engineer (SAP Administrator) will have technical responsibility for the SAP system Administration for Production processes at the Sanimex Faucet Operation (SFO). The SAP Administrator Engineer will be responsible for the SAP system Administration at SFO. The SAP Administrator Engineer will have input and responsibility in the configuration and implementation of SAP system procedures and processes to maintain appropriate and cost-effective manufacturing processes. The SAP Administrator Engineer must be able to detect and diagnose any SAP setting and configuration process problems.
2. Guide major capital projects and equipment purchase for capacity and strategic costing purposes at SFO.
3. Support corporate activities regarding the international growth of the Global Faucets Operations.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
1. The Staff Engineer (SAP Administrator) will have technical responsibility to set the SAP system for the flow of material and operation of all equipment associated with the Production Process.
2. The SAP Administrator Engineer must be able to detect and diagnose SAP settings problems and understand what is needed to fix them.
3. Development of detailed process specifications and SAP routings for manufacturing.
4. The SAP Administrator Engineer is responsible for the development of all necessary process documentation and training.
5. Assist the Multifunctional team in troubleshooting problems and in the resolution of issues related to the SAP system.
6. Assist with providing costing information needed for the financial group.
7. Assist, as required, in the review process of new product or process designs to ensure the correct BOM structure versus production process. Drive recommended changes to ensure alignment with the established process.
8. Work with the Kohler supplier network within or outside the USA.
9. Support the New Product Development group in launching new products by providing technical assessment of potential problems with SAP.
10. Participate in safety initiatives such as wall-to-wall inspections, Kaizen events, safety teams, and allocate funds for safety equipment and initiatives.
Skills/Requirements EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Minimum of Bachelor of Science Degree (ABET) with a minimum of 5 years in applicable Manufacturing or Assembly operations experience. A background in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
· Experience in SAP: BOM, Routings, Costing, and work centers.
· Experience in a manufacturing or related technical environment, preferably in a vertically integrated setting.
· Proven experience in developing and driving change to improve the SAP system configuration.
