We are currently seeking a SAP PP and QM Consultant to join our team in Guadalajara, Jalisco (MX-JAL), Mexico (MX).
**SAP PP and QM Consultant**
**What You Will Do**:
- Work as a senior member of the SAP PP/QM value stream team to efficiently develop and execute plans to deliver results.
- Under general direction, will be expected to collaborate and effectively coordinate with other members within the SAP PP/QM team.
- Work closely with business users to identify and document functional and technical requirements.
- Develop complex requirements for process or system solutions within the business domain, based on given business requirements.
- Maintain expert product knowledge and use an analytical approach to find best practice solutions and opportunities for improvement.
- Perform root cause analysis for major issues.
- Provide analysis and hands-on support for system upgrades and technical improvements, coordinating with the development and technical teams.
- Collaborate with the business, other functional and technical teams (e.g., ABAP, SAP Security, SAP Basis, SAP DB support, etc.) to deliver business requests, resolve issues, perform the root cause analysis (RCA), tune and improve the system performance, etc.
- Utilize your functional and technical (ABAP) skills to debug and independently analyze to provide optimal SAP solutions.
- Guide, coach, and mentor the junior and mid-level team members to train them on SAP PP/QM related functional and technical solutions of varying complexity.
**Minimum Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's Degree in IT/related discipline and/or equivalent SAP certifications.
- 8 Plus years of support, configuration, and testing experience in SAP modules that support the PP and QM value stream with the core competencies listed below:
- ** SAP PP/QM Competencies Required**:
- Production Planning Master Data, Process Order Manufacturing Cycle, PP/WM Interfaces, Process Order Costing, Quality and Inspection Planning and Control, Quality Assurance Inspection and certification
- ** Working knowledge of other SAP modules integrated with SAP PP/QM core competencies required** - Sales and Distribution, Materials Management, Finance, Plant Maintenance, Business Intelligence (Reporting, Data Visualization, and Performance Analytics).
- Experience of working with SAP Security process (and the use of FFID) and find, test, and implement SAP OSS request/notes for given incidents and issues resolution.
- Experience of working with various middleware technologies and solutions, within and outside of SAP.
- Experience with a minimum of 2 full SAP implementations in the PP/QM space, preferably at least 1 with S/4HANA.
- Experience of independently debugging ABAP codes to find solutions.
- Working knowledge of ITIL Incident, Problem, and Change Management methodologies.
- Experience working on multiple projects and meeting project goals on time.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain critical thinking while balancing multiple tasks.
- Ability to work well within a team, focusing on building relationships with all project stakeholders.
- Proven ability to learn new skills, technologies, and passion for conveying knowledge.
- Understand business needs, build strategic partnerships, and document and implement software solutions.
- Experience with pricing, IDOCs, and Integrations.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Experience directly within a large ERP systems footprint in a global, multinational environment in the "Chemical Manufacturing / Process" industry.
- Experience managing relationships with 3rd party vendors and teams.
- Able to successfully manage core responsibilities independently or with limited oversight.
- S/4 HANA certification.
- Ability to maintain critical thinking while balancing multiple tasks.
- Ability to work well within a team, focusing on building relationships with all project stakeholders.
